Scripture:
Psalm 90
16 Let us, your servants, see you work again;
let our children see your glory.
17 And may the Lord our God show us his approval
and make our efforts successful.
Yes, make our efforts successful!

17 And may the Lord our God show us his approval
and make our efforts successful.

Commentary:
90:16–17 Let your work be shown, i.e., display your love toward your people in great deeds of power that enable them to flourish. to their children. God made his covenant with Abraham and with his offspring (who must themselves embrace the covenant), and the OT faithful seek the continuation of the people through their own pious children (cf. 78:3–8; 103:17; 145:4). favor. Or “beauty” (see ESV footnote; Hb. no‘am, cf. 27:4). God’s own beauty is on display through his faithful servants. The work of our hands is the work that God’s people do in pursuit of their calling (Deut. 14:29; 16:15; 24:19).
90:17 Despite the reality of death, Christ’s resurrection guarantees victory and demonstrates that work has eternal meaning (1 Cor. 15:58).

Questions:
- The final blessing that Moses prayed for was for the work of God's people. Without His blessing in our lives, our work is ineffective and of little impact. One of the keys to the Christian walk, according to Henry Blackaby, is to see where God is moving and then join Him there. This is how you know you are in the will of God! You submit yourself to HIS ways, will and work, not your own. But in order to follow Him and His ways, you must first KNOW Him and His ways. And how do you do that? You spend time with Him. You come to Him often in prayer. You read, study and apply His Word. What does your time with the Lord look like? Is it on the schedule? Is it a priority? What is standing in the way of you growing closer to Him?
- He is GOD, you are NOT... so FEAR Him, focus on ETERNITY, find JOY in His PRESENCE, and follow HIM daily. Do these things, and you will find yourself right where God wants you to be. You'll be growing in your faith and relationship with Him. You'll be making wise decisions. And whether 2026 is a great year or it's hell on earth, you'll be OK because you'll be anchored to the One who holds it all. What has God been speaking to you this week? What needs to change? What do you need to stop? What do you need to start?
Prayer Topics:
- That you would follow HIM and HIS ways, not your own.
- That God would speak to you about how to apply His truth to your life.
This Week's City 7:
Try to commit to memory!
2. Are there sources outside the Bible that confirm the Biblical account of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead? Many Roman and Jewish historians have confirmed that the apostles died as martyrs for preaching that they saw Jesus risen from the grave. No one dies for something they know to be a lie.
