Scripture:
1 Corinthians 12
18 But our bodies have many parts, and God has put each part just where he wants it. 19 How strange a body would be if it had only one part! 20 Yes, there are many parts, but only one body. 21 The eye can never say to the hand, “I don’t need you.” The head can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you.”

Commentary:
12:18 God arranged. The Corinthians’ thinking will be corrected when they consider God’s sovereignty in assigning gifts (cf. also vv. 3, 11, 28).
12:20 many parts, yet one body. One of the key themes in these chapters is unity in the midst of diversity.

Questions:
- Without committing to a local church you are a FOREIGNER without FAMILY. You stay isolated from people. No one knows you, and you don't know anyone. And not a Sunday morning lobby kind of known, but fully known and fully loved. Have you ever had Christian community like this? Have you ever really been fully known by other believers in your life? Why is this so important?
- There are no lone rangers in the body of Christ. You were made for human connection and intimate relationships. Have you truly invested in relationships with people or have you held back and kept people at a distance?
Pray:
- That you would do what's necessary to be fully known and fully know others.
- That you would be intentional about this kind of community in your life.
This Week's City 7:
Try to commit to memory!
6. Is the Bible God’s Word? Jesus proved He is God by rising from the dead and said the Old Testament was God’s Word and gave authority to the Apostles to write the words of the New Testament, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, so that all the words of the Bible are God’s Word.
