Scripture:
1 Peter 3
22 Now Christ has gone to heaven. He is seated in the place of honor next to God, and all the angels and authorities and powers accept his authority.

Commentary:
3:22 The central truth of vv. 18–22 is that Christ has triumphed over his enemies. He is now ascended to the right hand of God, and all angels and demonic powers are subjected to him since he is Lord and Christ. Christians can therefore rejoice in their sufferings, knowing that Christ has triumphed.

Questions:
- On Holy Sunday, Christ ROSE for you! We serve a God that's alive, not dead in some tomb. Our Savior is risen! Christ forever defeated sin and death by coming back to life. The resurrection is the foundation of our faith. It was an actual historical event based on reasonable, logical evidence. How certain are you of why you believe in the resurrection of Jesus? Have you looked into the evidence enough that you could convince someone else of WHY you believe it happened?
- If we lived with full conviction of the resurrection, it should change the way we think and behave. Think about this... the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead LITERALLY lives on the inside of you as a believer. The same Spirit with the same power. Everyday, Christ REIGNS for you. Demons know His name and are afraid of Him. And you've got Jesus! So what is there to be afraid of? How can you step out in boldness for the Kingdom today, knowing the enemy has been defeated?
Pray:
- That your faith would increase today.
- That you would fear no evil because the Spirit of God is in you.
This Week's City 7:
Try to commit to memory!
2. Are there sources outside the Bible that confirm the Biblical account of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead? Many Roman and Jewish historians have confirmed that the apostles died as martyrs for preaching that they saw Jesus risen from the grave. No one dies for something they know to be a lie.
